| To briefly summarize the last six months.... May ~ Austin graduates with a double Major in Buisness Managment, & Marketing. YAY!!!!!
~ Amy, Bethany, Lindsay, Sheila come to visit!!! (Pictionary anyone?) June ~ Camping in Sharon's back yard with 5 tents
~ Mom & Dad here for about a week!
~ Danae & Danny's wedding July ~ Canning, freezing, domesticating 
~ Swimming, mowing...
~ Trip to Iowa during Conference
~ Movie nights in the pimped-out "shed" August ~ Camping (2 wkds)
~ Weddings (2 wkds) September ~ School started for me
~ Tim & Ang come to visit!!
~ Trip to Iowa for family vacation Overall these have been months of adjusting and adapting to a new and different "culture." It has been mostly wonderful, with homesickness, human-ness, and some stress mixed into the recipe. Dwayne & Jolene, and their family, have been great at involving me in their every-day life, which has helped tremendously with adjusting.
I also love having a different part of extended family near-by !!! Glendon's, Kerm's, & John's have all been marvelous to add to my normal every-day life. May you be willing to accept the measure of grace that God provides for you. Until my next bi-annual report, So Long Folks!! | | |

If you were at our wedding, you would have seen them. In a round-a-bout way.... My sister-in-law was 36 (?) weeks pregnant (8 months).

| Ahhh...and the the time draws nearer and nearer.....18 days until the wedding . As I get ready for the wedding in Iowa, my hard-working, hubby-to-be is busy getting our apartment ready. It needed some major fixing (to put it mildy, some would say!) but we've been VERY blessed by our families and friends that have helped us with doing that these past weeks. Austin is doing his last class this semester!!!!!!! So proud of him, I am. He's done so well with juggling school, work, the apartment, and talking to me....well, let's just say that I'm SUCH a lucky girl. Here are some of our engagement pictures.
My sister-in-law, Ang, took them one day while Austin was out in the land of pigs and corn.

Our wedding is set for February 21st in Iowa!!!!!!!!!!
Plans are coming along, but after the semester ends, I will have more time to concentrate on that (that makes me excited).
Proposal.....HOW?

He came out to Iowa for the weekend after my birthday. I was a little suspicious.....but..... Hey, I was just excited he came out to see me. (I always am, of course!)
That Saturday I wanted to learn frisbee golf, so he made a golf course for me around our yard and taught me. Then he made me a fantastic and delicious picnic for me, and we went down to our little winding creek to eat it.
He told me before we ate, that he wanted to give me part of my birthday present first. So, he made me walk a few steps away and close my eyes and not turn around. He set up this darling display with sparkling grape juice and little stuffed animals and flowers and then guided me back to the eating area, with my eyes still closed.
When he told me I could open my eyes, there he was, on one knee and asked if I would be his wife.
I sputtered around and asked him (a couple times) if this was for real.  Which he assured me it was.
I told him "YES!!" all the while still trying to reconcile reality with am-I-dreaming? Then he asked if he could wash my feet.
I cried.
It was such a special time and I still feel overwhelmed by God's blessing of Austin in my life!!!!!!!
